Project website asks for the site's address: example.com, www.example.com and https://www.example.com are all accepted. While you type, when the address needs tidying, the line under the field shows the Project address SyncNow will use, which becomes the project's name for agents and managers and does not change later, and says what of a pasted address is left out, such as a path or a port. It also explains why an address cannot be used, and flags a project that already exists.
Hosting connection, below, is visible from the start but stays greyed out until the website is valid. It asks for the site's FTP access: protocol, encryption (TLS/SSL, if your hosting uses it), server, port, user and password; plain FTP without encryption shows This connection is not encrypted. SyncNow suggests the project's root folder on the server from the server name, and Browse next to it lets you browse the server and pick another. Add project works only when everything required is valid, and until then a line next to it, such as Still needed: user and password, says only what is still missing; Enter presses it from any field. It tests the FTP connection from your PC and creates the project only if it works, and Cancel leaves without creating anything.
Databases are not asked here: add them later with Add database in the project's Connections tab. Choose the root folder with care, because agents can reach only the files inside it. See What happens right after I add a project? for what happens next.
