What does the Overview of a project tell me?

It tells you what happened on the project since your last visit, so you do not have to read every tab to find out.

The first line says which period it sums up, for example Since your last visit · yesterday at 18:42, Since your last visit · today at 09:30 or Since 9 Oct, 18:42; the first time, it starts from your last visit in the previous 7 days or covers all 7 of them, as in Since 5 Oct (first visit). The period is yours: SyncNow's server keeps it for you and for each project, so it is the same on every PC, and every team member has their own. A visit ends after 30 minutes in which your app has neither opened the project nor read its Overview, so reading the Overview again during the same visit does not empty it. Your own work and the work of your own agents are never in it.

NEEDS YOUR ATTENTION appears only when something waits for you, one line each with a dot and View, which opens the place where it is solved: conversations that need your reply, for example 2 conversations need your reply (the conversation, or Conversations on Waiting when there are several); blocked plans, such as 1 planning item is blocked (Planning showing only the blocked plans); Hosting connection is failing, with the reason, while SyncNow's FTP connections to the hosting are refused or paused (Connections); and a change of your own access, such as You were added to this project as Manager or Your role changed to Manager. The dot is red for the hosting and yellow for the rest. A database whose connection fails is not listed there: the yellow sign on the project's row shows it.

WHAT CHANGED follows: at most five changes chosen and summed up by SyncNow's server, each with its time (Today 09:12, Yesterday 22:40), a headline and one line of detail. Decisions come first, with Previous decision superseded when one replaced another, then plans (moved to In progress, completed, blocked, new), rules (New rule:, Rule changed: or Rule removed:, followed by the rule's title), releases, new conversations, work sessions, incidents and, for the project owner, changes to the team. Many changes of one kind become one line, such as 5 planning changes, 3 rules changed or 4 work sessions, and files are never counted; the removal of the earlier environment facts with version 13.2.49.74 is a single line, Rules reset: followed by how many were removed. Under them a line such as 27 meaningful changes while you were away, with View activity.

Then CURRENT FOCUS: the plan the project is working on, the plan in progress with the most votes first (then the one of highest priority, then the most recent), or two when two of them are level and both moved since your last visit, with its current phase and the next one, or its objective; then how many plans are in progress, blocked ones included, and how many are blocked, for example 11 plans in progress · 1 blocked, with View planning. When nothing needs you and nothing changed, the page says You're up to date. No decisions, blockers or conversations need your attention. In a project where you are the only person, which has no Conversations, the page has no lines about conversations and says No decisions or blockers need your attention. The page has no boxes, charts or tooltips, and only the View links lead elsewhere; it updates by itself while it is open, without moving the start of the period. The hosting details are in Connections, the numbers in Insights and the rules in Rules.
