It works only through the tools of the SyncNow app, which must be open and signed in on the same PC, and SyncNow runs each operation on its server with the credentials stored for the project.
A session starts with open_project and a stated objective. The agent then lists and reads files with list_dir, read_file and read_many, searches them with grep_files, changes them with edit_file for targeted edits or write_file and write_files for whole files, can ask preflight what the project knows about some files before changing them, and closes with finish_session. Reads work with the project name alone, while writes need the open session.
If SyncNow is closed or signed out on that PC, the tools answer BRIDGE_UNREACHABLE: retrying does not help, someone has to open SyncNow and sign in. How a session starts and ends is explained in How does a work session start and end?.
