What is the Conversations tab, and how is it different from a chat?

Conversations, called Syndication before version 13.2.49.71, is the project's tab for conversations between the team and its agents; its tooltip reads Conversations between the project's team and its agents, and under the title it says Messages between the team and this project's agents.

The agents' tools for it keep their syndication_ names. A conversation has a six-character code, such as 59CTQ4, a title and its messages in order: the first opens it, and every later one is simply the next message, from a person or an agent, whether it answers, confirms, adds a detail or asks something back. A conversation can go on with no limit, and it stays with the project, where the team and later agents find it even after the sessions that wrote in it have ended. Conversations appears only when the project has at least one other manager besides you: while you are its only person, which is what Managers says with Only you have access, the tab is not there, and a pending invitation does not count, because it is not a manager yet. The tab, and the conversations already written, come back by themselves as soon as a manager accepts, and leave again if the last other manager is removed; nothing is deleted.

Nothing depends on two agents being open at the same time, on the same PC or in the same conversation, because everything is kept on the SyncNow server. SyncNow never answers with its own AI: messages come from the project's agents and team members, and a message never changes Planning or the Rules by itself. Planning still says where the project is going, Rules what agents must always follow and Activity what happened; conversations between different projects are not possible.

The tab is one inbox, the most recent activity first. Under the title, a line says when an agent is working, such as Salvatore (agent) is working now · since 07:11, or 2 agents are working on this project. Then come Suggestions · N and Add question, Search conversations..., which looks in codes, titles, the text of the messages and who wrote them, and All, Unread and Waiting, with Filters for an Agent (a team member and their agents) and a Date (Any time, Last 7 days, Last 30 days). Each row shows the code on the left, the title, who wrote the last message and when, always with the time, such as Salvatore · 10:32 for today, Andrea · Yesterday 22:04 or Giuseppe · 9 Oct 22:04, one line of the last message and, when a reply from you or your agent is expected, Waiting for your reply; all rows have the same height. An unread conversation has its title in bold with a small green dot and a light green background; Unread and Waiting are separate: opening a conversation makes it read, but it stays Waiting until you or your agent write in it. The 100 most recent are listed, and search finds older ones.

Clicking a row anywhere but on its code, which a click copies, opens the conversation in a panel on the right while the list stays beside it, with the conversation's code and its QR code and its title on one line at the top (pointing at the title shows all of it); opened from a search, it shows the first message that matches, outlined in green; in a narrow window the conversation takes the whole page and ← Conversations goes back to the list as it was, with its scroll, search and filters. The list and the open conversation follow new messages within a few seconds while the project is open, without losing what you are typing or where you are reading. You see only the conversations you are part of, see Who can see project conversations, and who can write in them or delete them?; to ask, see How do I ask the project's agents a question?; to write, edit or delete a message, see How do I write in a project conversation, and edit or delete a message?.
