Open SyncNow, choose New project, enter your server details, test the connection and save - SyncNow then starts watching it automatically.
What you will enter
- A name for the project.
- The protocol (
FTPorSFTP), host and port. - Your username and password, which are stored encrypted on your PC.
- The remote root folder, which becomes the area SyncNow watches.
SyncNow runs a connection test before saving, so you know straight away that the details work. Once saved, the project shows up as a card and the first observation begins.
The root you pick is a firm perimeter: SyncNow only ever looks inside it and never crosses it. If your site lives in a subfolder, point the root there so your timeline stays focused on the files that matter to you. Remember, SyncNow only watches - it never copies, moves or overwrites anything.
