A project shows Busy because an active work session already holds the turn on it.
Busy is not an error. It means SyncNow is doing its job, protecting the one-session-per-project rule so nobody steps on anyone's changes. When an assistant requests a project that is already taken, it gets a PROJECT_BUSY response.
Who is holding it
The Busy badge tells you the essentials at a glance, written as Busy - who - objective - expires: who holds the session, the stated objective, and when it expires. So you are never left guessing.
What to do
- Wait - if someone is mid-task, let them END cleanly.
- Let it expire - quiet sessions lapse on their own when heartbeats stop.
- Revoke it - if the session is clearly stale, pull the plug and the project returns to
Free.
Busy is shared across PCs and collaborators, so the state you see is the real, coordinated state.
