Getting Started

You need a Windows PC, an internet connection and a SyncNow account - that is it.

The essentials

  • Windows - SyncNow is a Windows desktop app and uses Windows features such as DPAPI to encrypt your stored FTP passwords.
  • An internet connection - it watches remote servers, talks to its cloud vault and executor, and updates itself from www.syncnow.it.
  • A SyncNow account - to coordinate your projects, timelines and collaborators.

SyncNow is lightweight and made to sit in the background while you work. Only a single instance runs at a time, so it stays easy on your resources.

You do not need to manage versions yourself. SyncNow updates itself, checks each download with SHA-256, and enforces a minimum supported version, so an out-of-date copy is brought current rather than left to drift. Because its job is continuous, plan to leave it running.
