Can it leave my project?

No. The FTP root you configure is a fence: SyncNow stays inside it and never reaches above or outside it.

Each project has a remote root folder on your FTP server, for example /www.example.com/. SyncNow treats that root as the project's perimeter. Everything it does, listing files, taking snapshots, recording the activity timeline, happens within that root and nowhere else.

• It will not browse parent directories or sibling sites on the same server.
• Assistant operations that try to write outside the project root are blocked as a structural safety guard.
• Its own bookkeeping stays in the hidden .sync folder inside the root.

Why it works this way

Hosting accounts often hold several sites under one login. The perimeter keeps SyncNow focused on the one project you added, so watching one site can never spill into another. If your root is misconfigured, SyncNow may watch the wrong folder, so double-check it in the project settings.
