What if it never ends?

Discipline and Trust

A session that never ends is treated as a grave act: SyncNow bans the assistant from the project and flags it for human review.

Every work session is meant to follow START, then free work, then END with a changelog. An assistant that holds a session open and never closes it is breaking the protocol, so it goes straight to a ban rather than a warning.

You are still protected

  • Each session has a heartbeat and can expire on its own, so a stalled session does not hold your project hostage.
  • You can revoke any session yourself at any time.
  • When a session ends or expires, the project returns to Free for the next turn.

Because honest assistants always close out with a changelog, this never affects normal work. The rule simply makes sure no one can keep a project locked forever.
