Can AI use my site?

AI Assistants and the FTP Proxy

Yes. An AI assistant like Claude Code can read and change your project's files - but it never sees your real FTP password, and it never connects to your host directly.

Instead, SyncNow stands in the middle. The assistant asks SyncNow for a Grant (a turn to work on one project), then talks only to a local endpoint on your PC. SyncNow's cloud executor performs the real FTP action on its behalf and writes it to the shared activity timeline.

This means the assistant can work freely - reading, editing, creating, renaming - while your credentials stay sealed in SyncNow's cloud vault.

Is it safe?

This is bridge-enforced: SyncNow watches everything that passes through it and detects and bans any attempt to bypass it with direct FTP. Full operating-system-level lockdown is a separate future capability, but in normal use the assistant has no path to your password.
