Yes. SyncNow supports SFTP, and FTP over TLS/SSL too, so observation traffic is not sent in the clear.
When you set up a project you choose how SyncNow talks to your server. The protocol and encryption fields cover the common cases:
- SFTP: file transfer over SSH, usually on port 22.
- FTP with TLS/SSL: plain FTP wrapped in encryption, available as Explicit or Implicit TLS, typically on port 21 or 990.
- Plain FTP: still supported, but unencrypted. Prefer a secure option whenever your host offers one.
Picking the right one
Match the setting to what your hosting provider supports. If you are unsure, their control panel or support docs will state the protocol, port and encryption mode. SyncNow runs a connection test before saving a project, so you will know right away if the combination is wrong.
Encryption protects the connection between SyncNow and your host. Your credentials are protected separately: vaulted in the cloud and DPAPI-encrypted on your PC.
SyncNow
