What if it crashes?

Work Sessions and Grants

A crash mid-session will not lock your project forever. SyncNow is built to recover.

While a session runs, the assistant sends regular heartbeats. If the app, the assistant, or the whole PC drops out, those heartbeats stop arriving. SyncNow notices the silence and, after a grace period, lets the session lapse and returns the project to Free.

What recovery looks like

  1. Heartbeats stop because the session died unexpectedly.
  2. SyncNow waits out the grace period, then expires the stale session.
  3. The project releases its lock and is available again.
  4. You or the assistant START a fresh session and pick up where things stood.

Will I lose work?

Changes already written to the host through the proxy are done; they are real and on the activity timeline. What a crash costs you is the clean END changelog, since the session never closed properly. The timeline still shows what was touched, so you can reconstruct the state. If a project still shows Busy after a crash and you do not want to wait for expiry, just revoke the stale session to free it immediately.
