Changed my password?

Security and Credentials

Update it in the project settings so SyncNow can keep observing without interruption.

How to update it

  1. Open SyncNow and find the project on its card.
  2. Go into the project's settings and locate the FTP credentials.
  3. Enter the new password and save.

SyncNow runs a connection test on save, so you will immediately see whether the new password works. Behind the scenes the new value re-encrypts locally with DPAPI, and the authoritative copy in the cloud vault is refreshed so the executor keeps working.

If it goes wrong

If observation suddenly stalls or you see authentication errors, an out-of-date password is the usual culprit, especially right after you changed it at your hosting provider. Re-enter it as above and re-test.

Only the password needs updating when you rotate it; host, port and protocol stay the same unless your provider changed those too. Because the secret is vaulted and DPAPI-protected, no AI assistant ever sees the new value; it keeps working through the proxy.
