What are the roles?

A role is the level of access you give a collaborator on a project - it decides what they are allowed to do once they join.

When you invite someone you pick their role, and you can change it later or remove them from the same project screen. Roles let you share a project widely while keeping control: a trusted teammate can do more, while someone who only needs visibility can simply watch.

What stays true for everyone

• No role ever exposes your real FTP password - credentials stay in the cloud vault.
• The project still allows one active work session at a time, whatever someone's role.
• Everyone shares the same activity timeline and the same Free/Busy state.

If you are not sure which role to give, start with the more limited one - you can always raise it later once you know the person needs to do more.
