Server-owned files are items your hosting controls rather than your project, and SyncNow blocks an assistant from changing them.
What this means for you
Some files on an FTP server are not really yours to edit as part of the work. They are placed and managed by the host or the platform. Touching them can break the server itself instead of improving your site.
SyncNow recognises this class of files and keeps them out of bounds. An assistant can work on your actual project content as usual, but a write aimed at a server-owned file is refused and the attempt is logged.
Changing server-owned files is treated as an unsafe move, so the operation does not run. Repeated or deliberate attempts count against the assistant and can lead to a ban with human review. The benefit is peace of mind: an assistant improving your site cannot accidentally disturb the plumbing your hosting depends on.
