Yes. SyncNow is built to observe, not to touch, and your credentials are kept out of reach by design.
What protects your files
- Observe-only: SyncNow reads your site to record changes. It never syncs, copies, moves or overwrites your files on its own.
- A fixed perimeter: it stays inside the FTP root you configured and never wanders to other folders or sites.
- Structural guards: assistant operations that would write outside the root, read secrets, or mass-delete without a checkpoint are blocked.
What protects your credentials
Your real FTP login is vaulted in the cloud and never handed to an assistant. On your PC, any stored password is DPAPI-encrypted and tied to your Windows account. Updates to the app are SHA-256 verified before they are applied.
An honest note: today the assistant authority is bridge-enforced. SyncNow coordinates the operations that go through it and detects and bans bypass attempts. It does not claim to make bypass impossible at the operating-system level; that is a separate, future capability.
SyncNow
