No. An AI assistant is never allowed to open its own FTP connection to your host. Every operation must go through SyncNow's proxy.
Why the rule exists
- Your credentials stay sealed. Direct FTP would mean exposing your real password; through the proxy it never leaves the cloud vault.
- Nothing goes unrecorded. Proxied operations land on the shared timeline; a direct connection would be an invisible, uncoordinated change.
- Safety guards stay in force. Writing outside the root or mass deletes can be blocked only when SyncNow is in the loop.
What happens if one tries
A direct-FTP attempt is treated as a bypass - a grave violation. The assistant is banned from the project and flagged for human review.
An honest note
Today this is bridge-enforced: SyncNow coordinates the operations it mediates and detects and bans bypass attempts. It does not yet make a direct connection impossible at the operating-system level - that is a separate future capability.
