Yes - keep SyncNow running if you want it to record changes as they happen and coordinate work in real time.
SyncNow's whole job is continuous. It watches your remote servers and keeps a shared activity timeline up to date. While it is closed it is not watching, so changes that happen meanwhile are simply caught the next time it runs, rather than the moment they land.
The same goes for coordination. SyncNow is what hands an AI assistant an orderly work session and keeps each project's Free or Busy state accurate. Assistants work through its local proxy, so they can only act while SyncNow is there to mediate.
When it is closed
- No live observation, so the timeline pauses until you reopen it.
- No mediation for assistants, since the proxy is not running.
It stays light: only a single instance runs at a time, and it updates itself in the background. Leaving it running is the intended way to use it, not a workaround.
